We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide expert financial leadership on a part-time or contract basis. The ideal candidate will work closely with executive teams to guide financial decisions, improve fiscal performance, and ensure financial sustainability. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to align with the company’s goals.
Provide insights on key financial decisions, including capital raising, mergers, acquisitions, and long-term financial planning.
Guide cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management to ensure financial stability.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Lead financial forecasting, budgeting processes, and variance analysis to monitor and improve company performance.
Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend action plans to optimize business operations.
Prepare detailed financial reports and present them to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, oversee month-end and year-end closings, and maintain compliance with tax regulations and audits.
Work with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial reporting standards.
Operational Efficiency:
Streamline financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency, control, and reporting.
Implement effective financial systems, tools, and reporting mechanisms to support business growth.
Capital Management:
Manage capital allocation and ensure that investments are aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
Assist in securing debt or equity financing as required and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and investors.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Provide mentorship to financial and accounting teams, offering guidance on best practices and improving financial acumen within the organization.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure that financial strategies support operational needs.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
10+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally as a CFO or controller.
Proven success in developing and implementing financial strategies, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Experience working in high-growth environments, start-ups, or companies undergoing significant transformation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to work part-time or on a project basis, with flexibility in hours and availability to meet company needs.
